City Law Society
From Learnmore
The City University Law Society is run by students for students. The society proudly stands as the largest society by membership in City University and is committed to furthering a broad agenda that is unseen in many societies on campus.
Although the main body of its members is made up of lawyers, you do not have to be a law student to join the Society.
The Society organises academic and social events throughout the year to enhance the experience of studying law and other subjects! We are committed to run events relating to student skill development and employability.
In addition, the Society organises mooting and debating, as well as giving guidance on pro bono work. We also have a termly e-newsletter which keeps everyone informed on how events are being received.
The Law Society can help you build your CV, meet and socialise with fellow students interested in the law, and above all make the experience of developing your intellectual capacities all the more enjoyable.
Currently sponsored by DLA Piper, Macfarlanes, Allen & Overy and just recently Ernst & Young!
The City University Law Society won the Society Officer of the Year Award in 2011.
Membership is £5.00
