Still not sure if the Scheme is for you? Here's what the Mentoring Co-ordinator 2006-07 has to say about it:
"The LLB Mentoring Scheme at City University is designed especially for those studying the LLB and is operated entirely by the student body. Students can receive help in a variety of different ways and it is this which makes the service so unique. It is catered for the needs of the individual which means you will receive the help and support you need in the manner which suits you best.
The LLB Mentoring Scheme gives you the rare opportunity to profit from the mistakes of those who have gone before you; because whatever difficulties you are experiencing I can guarantee that one if not all mentors have come across that same problem at one point or another.
Being involved with mentoring has truly been a rewarding experience and I would encourge all to get involved. Its not about being a law genius because you are not there to teach. The LLB Mentoring Scheme is about putting students on the right track which can include being a sympathetic ear, a sounding board for ideas, helping with time management or guiding students to the correct understanding.
Many students benefited from the LLB Mentoring Scheme last year and I hope this innovative and invaluable service continues to grow from strength to strength."
